Assessment Tasks

Copy and paste from the following data to produce each assessment task. Write these in plain English and spell out how, when and where the task is to be carried out, under what conditions, and what resources are needed. Include guidelines about how well the candidate has to perform a task for it to be judged satisfactory.
Copy and paste from the following performance criteria to create an observation checklist for each task. When you have finished writing your assessment tool every one of these must have been addressed, preferably several times in a variety of contexts. To ensure this occurs download the assessment matrix for the unit; enter each assessment task as a column header and place check marks against each performance criteria that task addresses.

Establish and maintain networks with agencies and community services to support and empower Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people and communities. 
Acknowledge and respect local community values, cultural beliefs and gender roles when working with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people. 
Apply cultural safety protocols in implementing government policies, undertaking research and data collection and working with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people. 
Identify cultural factors that may produce stress and have a potential to impact own work practices and report according to organisational policies and procedures in order to support service delivery and personal wellbeing. 
Work safely within own responsibility and competence and in line with community protocols, organisational policies and procedures and regulatory requirements. 
Identify existing strengths within the Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people and communities and work to build on these. 
Identify aspects of organisational service strategies, policies, bodies and resources relevant to work in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities. 
Apply strategies and policies to address identified priorities of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people and communities. 
Document barriers to access and equity in relation to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and mainstream services. 
Use available opportunities to advocate on behalf of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people and communities. 
Maintain confidentiality of personal information according to organisational policies and procedures. 
Support Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people and communities to advocate and lobby on issues of importance to them. 
Evaluate service delivery against desired outcome. 
Ensure participation of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people in the evaluation. 
Revise strategies as required based on evaluation.
